Noah's Arc Movie: Jumping The Broom

I just wanna say that this movie gave me soooooooooooo much LIFE that I am officially GOING THUR IT
for at least a few more days



Sure it had it's laughs and "gur!" here and there to not make the whole thing emotionally hard hitting but
from real talk about:
masculinity vs femininity
being a top vs bottom
coming out
safe sex from within and not in a relationship
the black gay culture of looking like "50 cent" or not (aka the machoism with black communities)


and the list goes on and on

The movie's core was really about .... friendship love and relationships

making it work


granted the movie had its cheesy moments but the foundation of what it takes to make any relationship work (gay, straight, friend, partner)
was played eloquently and with genuine heart

Each relationship in the movie had it's troubles and all wanted to call it quits at some point but stuck it through

I remember the constant up and down and always doubting/ fearing the future when being in a relationship
lord knows relationships are not easy ... but
they are worth it

and though it takes more than love to make it work (which they stated in the flick) at the same time
its love that keeps you going on

for one more day to roll over and see their face


until maybe there is talk of "till death do us part" and LORD KNOWSSS marriage ain't no walk in the park either but as stated by Noah in the movie "But I WANT to try" ... and thats all you can do

because life happens and yes.. he may cheat on you/ or kiss your best friend/ or drive you up the wall helping him out with his new HIV clinic but

it's all for the ride and .. love
Love is a beautiful thing that is worth fighting for

granted there is a point where one may ask themselves "is this real?" and decided no
or not any more..
which is fine ... LIVE LEARN and GROW
but
.. if the answer is yes .. at least a little .. then hold on

because between this movie and the "Sex and the City" movie
the universe is telling me one thing

the honey moon, holding hands in the park and cute moments in bed may be great but

love

real love .. is about forgiveness



and until I find "him" again
