D: Even if he lived here, it wouldn’t be. I would probably have an open relationship even if he lived here. I don’t see the point of all that lying.
B: And he feels the same.
D: Yeah, we are both grown men.
B: And honest.
D: Yeah, in fact, being in a relationship for this long and getting to know someone on a level where we live in different cities, forces us to be honest. He is very handsome and it’s not some secret that there is sex and boys in our lives.

B: Have you always had this mentality with relationships?
D: I think there is a time in your twenties and you have this idea of this relationship that can exist and you have in your twenties. I think as you grow older, everyone has their own way of having a relationship and whatever works for anybody is great. But, as gay men, I think we have sort of figured out, perhaps more than our straight counterparts, that it doesn’t work out too well, or you don’t have to have that. I mean, I certainly wouldn’t want to have my boyfriend have his only goal in life to be to hook up with other people. But it happens and who cares? It doesn’t have anything to do with how you care about each other.
