Take Note: Kanye's Dead Girls and our love affair with violence and sex

posted this..
wait 4 it

a minute ago and have been waiting ...
-- BUT FOR HOW LONG!? .. i mean damn. I was waiting to give a good review once the finished video was out but my patience is running low.
In the mean time- controversy stirs.. of course.
all press is good press, they say.
sad and true though.. huh? read this

Don't get me wrong, high fashion? yes
Beatufully shot? .. of what i could see in the shitty leaked version.. yes
but to what ends is violence towards women not just wrong but a boaring taboo.
I mean no tea no shade Mr. West
hmmm
However on the topic of taboo .. its not like we haven't seen this type of thing and gagged before.. even recently.
exhibit a and b .. love or hate her, her videos are pretty well done.
So is it different because it's a woman portraying violence and sexuality that there is no huge out cry. Granted Lady Gaga wasn't hanging out with two dead girls in bed (she choose a skeleton) but the video no matter how you put it featured the Vogue of "death". Violence will forever be the taboo sexy. No matter who the victim is.. male or female. I mean I'm a fan of the dark and twisted but .. it makes you think where do the lines blur between good old fashion S&M and "this is some fucked up shit".

Is it all good as long as we keep it in our fantasies and/or have a safe word? Our cultrue will forever be fascinated by death and the unknow but the obession with vilonce is someinthing to take note of. Where we blend in whats sexy with whats just a little too intese with violence... pay attention. I mean shit I like is rough too don't get it twisted but ... where is that line you draw in the sand as artists continue to "push the envelop" and be "risky"? Or is it all up for grabs? Down with censorship! yea or nay? "Pass me that noose & 90lbs white girl in Louboutins in the mean time" ... huh?.
