In America violence towards women and children news headlines receive very little valued attention due to a numbness towards the value of human life. Under the surface there is a stream of terror and post traumatic stress that Americans more so then any other nation on earth misplace and mask. Mourning to some is a temporary state that is eventually meant to move someone into a place of peace, but how can we as a people move on when our familiarity with violence and mass killings are re occurring events? What happens when we take off the “mask” and take the time to not only look at our social landscape of mayhem but ourselves?
