THIS--- "His blood is not on my hands" -- Scandal 4x14 Olivia Gets The Truth from Police “The Lawn Chair”

First off S/O to Shonda Rhimes and other artists in mass media who have stood in solidarity with the men and women on the front lines of this "black lives matter" movement. As we all know without a combination of law reform, shacking up the system, changing people's hearts and mass attention/ dialogue about these issues - we will never see change. The sentiments expressed in this video as harsh as they may sound are the real feelings of many people including police who would never consider themselves "racists".

"His blood is not on my hands"

When in reality you don't have to wear a white hood and burn crosses on lawns to be a racists. Racism and the racial scribe is something this country was built on to control and manipulate people of color AND POOR WHITES with the use of authority institutions like the justice system and law. His words in this video reflect the feelings of even people closer to me and you as much as we'd like to think of ourselves as liberal, departed from our past and living in a "color blind" society. It's important to pull back the curtain and really look at ourselves and society to find the conjuring of these feelings and de root them. As a people it's important to remember at any time in history unless you were/are white, male, heterosexual AND rich in this white supremacist capitalist patriarchy state - you too have been and are on the shit end of the stick. Thus it's important to recognize and stand with ones fighting for civil rights and literally their lives because all people have a history of fight and it really is true that "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
