“Top-A-Toppa”, a solo exhibition featuring new work from the artist Christopher Udemezue. Join us on Friday, July 31st at 7pm, for the exhibition opening. Udemezue will also premier a special performance on the show closing night August 9th at 7PM.
The exhibition “Top-A-Toppa” is a body of work that explores black and brown queer bodies at large and the real individuals that become contemporary martyrs for justice in the face of adversity. More specifically the pieces look at the queer people of Jamaica and the Gully Queens in the nation’s capital, Kingston.
