The world is legit on fire right now - however i think now more then ever is the time to sisterhood and have places for kiki, healing and conversation. As part of the Education Department’s R&D Season: DEMOCRACY, the New Museum will host a youth summit and celebration organized by BUFUbrujasDiscwoman, and yours truly - some members of the House of LaDosha. It’s LIT. The Scamming the Patriarchy: A Youth Summit is this Sunday and I’d love to see you there. The summit will include numerous workshops organized around five guiding principles: healing, self-love, skill building, political education, and empowerment. The programming will look to the future of gender politics, focusing on methods for forging the worlds youth want to inhabit, while grounding this work in legacies of the past. With Ladosha programing including the amazing: Dulcina Abreu, Tschabalala Self, Sarah Zapata, Jasmine Stein, Roxie Turner, Laina Berry (MISTERVACATION), Maya Monès, KC Chaviano and Caitlin Quigley - the event is gonna be HAM. These are just some of the people involved. Get into the attached PDF for more info. Be sure to use the hashtag #ScammingthePatriarchy if you feel the need and thank you again for being apart of my community cuz we are OUTCHEA now. Click here
