It Get Better - the right direction for change

Make It Stop (September's Children)
Rise Against

No matter the reservation people may have against Dan Savage and the "It's Gets Better" project's actual effectiveness vs "real action" (as I've blogged about before) -- no one can deny that this project really has come a long way and had a great impact for the fight for cultrual progression. Becuase it is the visibility and up roar culturally of issues that bring them to the forefront for politicians to install change into our schools --- I mean look at the same sex marriage debate in NYS for example. A random video of a celebrity saying they stand behind it may seem insignficant but in the 100s (as we've seen with the "It Get's Better" project) where even corporations are making company wide videos ... things are in the right direction for change. And indeed I'm no advocate for violence and no fan of the song but Eminem giving the message of "FIGHT BACK" in his "No Love" video - is all starting to pull it together.

Werk Mr. Savage
